Not My Real Life by Polyenso
Experimental/indie rock trio Polyenso has unveiled its music video for “Not My Real Life” from the band’s latest album, Pure In The Plastic. “‘Not My Real Life’ is kind of about gluttony and self control – or lack thereof,” Polyenso’s Alex Schultz tells Berlin-based Kaltblut Magazine. “We scoured the internet for months for clips that gave you that feeling of losing control, like you weren’t yourself…”
Following the release of Pure In The Plastic, out April 1, Polyenso will tour this US this summer, beginning with a performance at Shaky Knees Music Fest in Atlanta, GA. Polyenso then begins its US headlining tour, plus the band will play select dates with PVRIS on its North American tour. This June, Polyenso is set to play its first Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, performing in the New Music On Tap Lounge on June 9. See below for a full list of upcoming tour dates.
Recorded in Polyenso’s hometown of St. Petersburg, FL, Pure In The Plastic was a two year endeavor that saw the group pushing its experimental soundscape further than ever before. Pure In The Plastic showcases varied instrumentation ranging from synthesizers, pianos, and guitars to everyday objects including spatulas, wooden bowls, and packing peanuts. The album aims to build off of the trio’s critically acclaimed 2013 debut release, One Big Particular Loop, and its most recent project, EP1.
