Man Man or Honus Honus?

Multi-instrumental band from Philadelphia, the Man Man – AKA Honus Honus due to the frontman Honus and his piano which is the core in the group’ music production – is a crazy band made by energetic musicians able to play any possible instruments:  clavinet, Moog Little Phatty, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, flute, bass clarinet, drum set, euphonium, Fender Jazz Bass, Danelectro baritone guitar, xylophone, marimba, melodica and a wide choice of percussions such as Chinese funeral horns, spoons, smashing plates, fireworks, and—on occasion—audience members’ heads.

On Oni Pond is the last album, just released in September, and anticipated by this black and white video Head On (Hold On To Your Heart) which is the symbol of their production: a melting pot of sounds, a mixture of visual styles and stories…episodes. My favorite is the one with Steve McQueen. Can’t be different!

A surprise.
